On the Cat Walk

Hi everyone!

So the other week I took part in my school's charity fashion show which was so much fun! I was so scared to do it that I almost didn't sign up to take part, but I'm so glad I did and I would really recommend to anyone else to try something you want to do even if you're really scared to do it.

I wore a GCSE Textiles piece, made by someone in the year below me and her work was amazing so I was so lucky to get to wear it!

I am definitely going to sign up to do this next year because I really enjoyed it!

I hope everyone has an amazing Easter holidays!

London Fashion Week

Hi everyone!

Last Sunday I went to London Fashion Weekend with my mum and my sister. This was such an amazing experience as it was my first time going to it and I really enjoyed it. It took place at Somerset House on the Strand and we went to two fashion shows.

The first one was by Sibling and I loved the bow hats which were worn my all the models. The clothes were really cool and I thought it was a great collection.

The second fashion show we went to see showcased a collection by The Outnet. The show was split into four sections of upcoming trends. These were: monochrome; 70s fashion; florals; and metallics. I personally am not a huge fan of 70s fashion, but I am definitely a monochrome lover and I really enjoyed this fashion show too.

Apart from the fashion shows, we also wondered around all the clothes (and tried on some super expensive pieces) which was so much fun.

When we actually first arrived we were taking pictures and for some strange reason everyone seemed to think that we were just there to take photos of everyone with their cameras and so we ended up doing that for about ten minutes!

It was also so much fun just seeing what everyone was wearing as I have never seen so many people obsessed with fashion in the same place at the same time!

It was such a great opportunity to be able to go to London Fashion Week and I definitely would like to go again! I hope you like the photos (there are quite a few due to my indecisiveness!)

Hope you all had a fab weekend!

Moo'd Cereal House in Leeds

Hi everyone!

Last weekend when I went to Leeds, me and my sister decided to go and try out Moo'd Cafe. This is a cereal cafe where all they serve is cereal. It. Was. Amazing. It was literally so cool, there were several different choices of cereal cocktails. I had Cookie Monster which consisted of Sugar Puffs, Cookie Crisp, Cookie and Chocolate milk, so essentially it was a heart attack in a bowl, but completely worth it.

The actual cafe was super quirky and colourful, with cereal boxes on all the shelves and cute little chairs and tables.

I thought it was so much fun but weird to go and have cereal in a cafe but I actually really enjoyed it and would defintiely go again!

Here is the link to an article all about it. I hope you like the pictures below!

A Leeds Rainbow Cake

Hi everyone!

This weekend I went to Leeds to visit my sister at uni. I had an amazing time and one of the things we decided to do was to cook a rainbow cake!

We've both wanted to make one of these for a long time, and we were planning on making it pink, green, yellow and blue, but unfortunatley there were no yellow or pink food colourings when we went to buy the ingredients, so we went for orange instead and just decided to have a go and see what happened.

When we cooked the first layer we were a bit shocked at how short it was because it looked like a pancake! But luckily when we piled all the layers on it resembled normal cake size. Although it maybe doesn't look like a normal rainbow cake it sure did taste amazing!

For this cake we just used a normal plain cake recipe and added food colouring. We also put jam to stick the layers together and used Betty Crocker icing to put over the top. If you are looking for a recipe to follow then here is one I think looks very similar to the one we made.

We had so much fun making this cake so I would definitely recommend it if you have loads of time because it took ages!

I hope you like the pictures!

P.S. I would definitely recommend putting a good amount of food colouring in because we didn't put that much orange in for the first layer which is why is looks quite yellowy!
